WOYWW, cards and an angel

Good morning my dear bloggy friends!

I hope you are all well and happy! I must thank all of you for last weeks amazing response to my photo problem! You were all so helpful and to be honest I think lots of you also gained from the comments that were put on my blog as it seems this has suddenly become a big problem! As I said I decided to pay the extra dollars a month so that I can still show bigger pictures as I think blogging is a lot about pictures - what is the first thing you do when you look at a post??? You look at the pictures and THEN start reading the text so it is essential that the pictures are nice and big! I will be honest I really don't like when people make their pictures so small on their blog you can hardly see anything! I just LOVE a good old proper SNOOP!!!
Next I must apologise to lots of you as I didn't get around to your desks - my DBF came to visit from England so there were other things to do and I just didn't get round to looking at my computer - thank you to all of you I will be good this week and call in to as much of you as possible!!
Now without further ado first up is my lovely messy desk......

My room is now sooo full of stuff if I want something I have take off a pile of things (like all those TH DI) just to get to something so really I think it is time for a big clean up before I go any further with my holiday cardmaking! I sent a package of about 15 cards with my DBF - that is the first English batch!
Next I will show you a couple of my latest makes....
First up is my washi tape card.....I have been collecting various washi tapes - especially red ones and I made a background out of just washi tape! The trees were punched with an EK success punch which I love very much because the tree just seems to be the perfect shape and size! Lots of bling on there too....

The next card is made with a Hero Arts village stamp - I stamped it with Versamark and then used silver embossing powder, punched a couple of snowflakes and added some ribbon - quite simple card but I love the looks of it..... that village just reminds me of lovely winter evenings back home....

and as last but not least I would like to show you another lovely angel that has flown all the way from England...it came from Jo aka TWIGLET and is just such a lovely, beautiful gentle little creature....

with her came a lovely Christmas card and cards with Jo's amazing dumpfed pictures..... here is a bit of a close up of my cute Grace......

And here are the 2 newly found sisters together......

Ah I just love them - at the moment they are sleeping in my bed, but soon they will be hanging on my Christmas tree! THANK YOU JO (Jozart) and JO (Twiglet)! All my love to you both!
My angels are almost done too, I am a slow coach so bare with me....I think I am still on the mark at the moment!
I wish you all a lovely week, a lovely snoop too - I will be visiting as much of you as possible and do link up to our HQ where Queen Julia keeps us all in check!
Lots of hugs to all of you,

Craftalnica, Izziv #69 sivo - roza!

Drage ustvarjalke in ustvarjalci ( a ga imamo kakšnega fanta???)

Kotni okraski so bili izrezani z EK success štanco, potem pa sem še dodala trak in veliko roza in sivih kamenčkov! Za božični napis sem uporabila del Mavelu božične štampiljke, ki sem ga poudarila z prozornim embossing prahom! No tako je nastala moja sivo roza božična smrekca, ki je moj skromni prispevek k izzivu Craftalnice.
Lep pozdravček vsem pridnim (pridni zato ker gotovo besno hitite in delate božične čestitke in okraske :-) ) ustvarjalkam in ustvarjalcem!

WOYWW nr. 2 - PROBLEM SORTED!!!

Hello my dear friends!

I have sorted the problem - I am now paying 2,99$ a month for extra storage so that I can show you lovely photos of my desk!Thank you to all the lovely bloggers who came to my aid and helped me with this problem. I could have gone into Picasa web something and deleted loads of photos to make space but that would mean they would not be seen on my previous blog posts anymore....that didn't feel right although I doubt many people look at my old posts - still I do sometimes...I know my photos are quite big but I always think what is the point of putting photos on your blog if nobody can see what is on them! I think being a blog that is mostly about crafting photos are essential! So my dear ladies and gentlemen please keep enjoying my big photos! Ha, ha......
I hope you are all well and happy.....I am having back pains today....I went to visit my mom who had back pain and it looks like I "caught the bug" ( well not really as back pain isn't contageous) and am now walking around like if I was walking on eggs - huh not very nice!
Anyway I have decided to keep this short as my last few posts have been really long and our Queen Julia wants us to keep it short....he, he maybe I can save a few GB too.....
Soooo.....my desk - nothing crafty going on at the moment just a few new things dumped on there...the new Paperartsy stamps (I might have shown them before,  new Crafty indivuduals stamps....TH Christmas tinsel....a few new washi tapes - I really love the red and white stripy one...Slovene Christmas word stamps.....Artistic Stamper Christmas stamps....a new starry embossing folder.....

On the right hand side there is still a horrible mess which I am just unable to sort out at the moment....

My pile of Christmas cards is growing.....

Here is one of my latest cards - I used the starry embossimg folder - rubbed a silver ink pad over the embossed area and then added all the bits and bobs ( ribbon, stars....), the stamp is from a Hero Arts set....

And now I have something lovely to show you....yesterday it came in the post - it is from Jozarty - a lovely angel..it is so detailed I just keep on looking at it as everytime I look I see something new....thank you Jo I am soooo happy!

The angels name is Arella....and she is a lovely pink color - just for me.....

Have another look.....isn't she beautiful????

I have to go now and snoop around other desks while you snoop around mine!

Have a lovely day.....
Lots of hugs to all

WOYWW, Artistic freedom

Good morning dear bloggers!

How are you today?? We have a rather dismo morning - doesn't make you feel very happy but I guess this is the time of the year when all our spirits are a bit down - you go to work in the dark, come back in the dark Huh! Not much fun at all....
But not to worry there is Queen Julia with  WOYWW every week to cheer us up...
Now to start with a bit of chat I would like to tell you how I have finally came to the level of so called "Artistic freedom".....let me explain....A few years ago when I started making cards stamping and embossing and stuff like that was the scariest thing you could imagine ....I used to use mostly digi stamps and cards would be made by layering different designer papers, matting, attaching embelishments.....then I finally mastered stamping and embossing.....so then digi stamps were gone out of my life, I started a mad hunt for proper stamps and then it was suddenly almost shameful to use digi stamps or just layer designer paper.....I started making my own backgrounds and thanks to WOYWW I have mastered stamping and embossing and all the other tricks of the trade (well sort of...)....Suddenly this year when making all those Christmas cards I have reached the so called "artistic freedom" level when I don't think of using any craft material shamful or not appropriate - I actually use stickers and toppers on some of my cards....I dare to use horrible scraps to make a card, anything I feel looks good I use ...I feel so free now...and I think my cards this year are the best I have ever made....
Here are some of the examples.....
Stickers......does that look bad??? ....I think they make the card nice...

....how about a vintage Christmas card downloaded from the internet......I must admit the background was selfmade - stamps and gesso.....

Oh and here is the real "artistic freedom"......card made from scraps and washi tape....

So ladies and gentlemen have you reached the level of "artistic freedom".....tell me....
Ok enough philosophy.....my desk is here too......
I tidyed up as you can see....it might not be tidy to some of you but for me it is a great improvement as I actually  can see my desk now......

Right side.....

and left side - a bit more messy.....but it is what I call kaotic order....

If you are not snorring away by now I wish you a lovely day and a good snoop around the desks of the world....
Lots of hugs to everyone...

P.S.: I often wonder that it is about 8 o'clock in the morning in England and there is about 80 bloggers already linked up....does that mean most of you post on Tuesday....it is still WOYWWednesday isn't it????

WOYWW, Cards and stuff...

Hello my dear friends!

First I must apologize for maybe not coming back to everybody who commented on my blog - I lost track a little bit and then the week just flew by and here we are Wednesday again and I haven't come back to everybody! Huh!  Will try to be better this week!
We have very crazy weather - one minute lovely sunshine, next minute rain, storms with hail, snow and lots of floads! The sun is out at the moment so lets hope it stays out for a while!
So lets get straight to the point....
If you remember in the summer Jo and Donna came to visit me and one of the first things they asked was if I am a messy crafter - I said I am messy but  the only thing I am very strict about is cleaning my stamps - I saw the looks in their eyes thinking - Huh she is a neat one....during their stay I might have convinced them about my messiness but if I didn't I am sure the following photos will convince anyone....Beware! People who are extremly OCD shouln't look at my desk......

My couch has gone from bad to worse......

I hope to tidy up a little bit this afternoon as I can't really work on my the desk anymore! Huh!!!!

To show you a couple of cards .....this one is a birthday card.....sorry my photos are not very good - the light this morning was horrible.....

And here is one of my Christmas cards.....stamp is Oxford Impressions, all the rest are just bits and bobs from my stash - the sentiment is Hero Arts....

And as last a bit more of the colorful autumn - the tree that has provided all these lovely leaves is outside the library where I work.....such an amazing variety of colors.....

Short and sweet today.....I wish you all a lovely autumn day and a joyful snoop around desks under the supervision of our lovely Queen Julia!
Lots of hugs to all
